Western Star 4800, 2008, showing 780,000 ks /17000 hrs which I believe is correct.
C15, 18 sp, RT 50s on Neway with cross locks etc. Ice pack, PTO and side tipper controls, 3 turntable, Good tyres, great interior, runs and drives really well.
We have been informed that engine was rebuilt engine including crank, head, clutch, radiator etc approx 50,000 ks ago in 2024- looks correct, BUT we cant confirm any history as it was a repossession.
Faults-
Its been a red dirt truck, and seen some rough roads, it shows around it, eg bonnet has fatigue etc
Steering box has weep from top seal.
A/C seems to work but isnt cold after half an hour or so
Ice pack starts runs and pump works but fan is not blowing in to sleeper
UHF and stereo not working
LH guard missing (conveyor belt!) ( S/H guard is available, $380 from Universal Truck Spares)
Chassis has slight spread, not too bad but it's beginning
Engine fan is on
RH seatbelt will need replacing, its been caught in the door
Its got the bones of a great truck, it drives as well as a Western Star should. Great buying, $41000 + GST= $45100 Inc gst.
